SPICY CHILI FRIES

ingredients

  • 1 russet potato
  • 1 teaspoon of gluten-free flour
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of sesame oil for frying
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons for sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of salt

directions

  1. Peel the russet potato
  2. Cut into around 1-inch by 1-inch pieces
  3. Soak in cold water for 10 minutes
  4. Dry potato pieces
  5. Add flour and coat the pieces evenly
  6. Add sesame oil to a pot and heat up (for frying)
  7. Add the potato pieces
  8. Stir occasionally while they are frying
  9. Take them out after 5 to 7 minutes
  10. Put on a plate (remove excess oil if you want)
  11. In a bowl add oil, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin powder, and salt
  12. Mix
  13. Drizzle sauce over fries 
  14. Enjoy!

notes

  • You can fry the potatoes for longer to make them crispier
  • You can cut the potatoes into any shape of fries you want, but I prefer them like this
  • These fries taste great with ketchup
